Platinum plating of titanium electrodes

I'm dealing with an anodic process that needs a platinized electrode. Could you inform me about some good recipe to plate a graphite or titanium substrate with platinum?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello Oropeza. Best of luck with your project, but you could as well ask how to blow, coat, and lehr some glass tubes to make yourself fluorescent bulbs so you can see what you're doing :-)

Students can do some types of plating, but they don't manufacture platinized titanium electrodes, they buy them. A lab supply catalog may list them, but if not, then a local plating chemical distributor will have them. They can be bought from Technic too. Good luck.

Mr. Oropeza,
Ted's response is correct. The process you are inquiring about is very difficult and requires knowledge, chemistry and equipment that would not be found in a classroom lab.
However, if you need to know the basics of the process for information purposes only, you can find the process in plating tech guides such as: "Products Finishing" magazine.
There are a number of platinised anode suppliers in both the USA and Mexico.
