Hard chrome plating s g cast iron

I would like to know what pre treatments are required before plating sg cast iron i.e., if we have to etch anodically or cathodically in sulfuric acid and the concentration of acid.

Cast iron you have only to prepare mechanically, i.e. by high speed polish, and then put it in the chrome bath under plating current, no reverse current allowed.
