What if put on skin?

Q. What if clothes were soaked in muriatic acid and I was to wear them.

Travis Mccrary

2005

A. If you mean to wear acid-soaked clothes without washing them, whether wet or dry, I think you might find yourself committed.
But if you wash them and they're not falling apart, I see no problem.

A. Please, PLEASE let Ted know how you felt after wearing your wet HCl clothes. He would be delighted to know. So would all the readers.

You could also wring them out first of all and then drink the liquid .... but whether you'd be able to correspond after that is highly unlikely, a good case of R.I.P.

Have a look-see in the archives at thread no. 10986.

A. I could be wrong but I am thinking that this guy is being asked by an employer to do something that he thinks might be unsafe, like working with muriatic acid without proper safety gear. Hopefully he got the message.

thumbs up sign Oh, okay, that makes sense, Sheldon!
But who knows? That's one reason we endlessly beg people pretty-please to describe their actual situation rather than posting an easily misunderstood abstract question. Another reason we ask it is that some of our regular responders tell us they're unwilling to waste their time answering questions which require them to write long lists of ifs-ands-&-buts ... but we still get loads of abstract questions :-)
Luck & Regards,
