Thread standards for parts to be zinc plated

I have several customers asking for threads to be cut and listing zinc yellow plating as a requirement. I know this will change pitch diameters. This also has caused problems with our customers due to them using 2a gages to check the threads and causing rejects due to the gage not going completely over the whole thread. What is the standard I should order from the ASTM for fasteners and zinc threads?

Thanks,

Steve Raith

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
