Seeking info about silver plating musical instruments

Not sure I'm asking this question in the right place, but where might I find information about learning to silver plate brass musical instruments? Such as the technical process used, training programs, professional organizations. Thanks in advance.

The process involves many steps, from polishing & buffing, through cleaning and acid activation, silver striking, silver plating, and post treatments. The easiest place to start would be with a copy of the Metal Finishing Guidebook.
