Commercial Industrial Finishes for Steels

I'm trying to find out about commercial, industrial-grade finishes for steels such as "pre-plate", "galvanneal" and "pretty-plate", to name a few. Are there any good references which might be a good tutorial as far as properties, application, etc?

Some good reference materials to begin with are Metal Finishing Magazine and the Metal Finishing Guidebook. These publications have good articles and have advertisements from a wide variety of commercial metal finishing processes. Finishing.com also has a good links page.
