Which coating is suitable to 1440 hrs SST

Tip:   Readers want to learn from your situation,
        often bypassing abstract questions.

Q. Which coating will withstand 1440 hrs?

A. Hi Rajasekharan.
If salt spray numbers rather than real world viability are the concern, then paint is usually the way forward. Epoxies if the application is not outdoors; polyesters or preferably kynar type if outdoors. Electrocoat priming before painting will contribute in any case, and help a great deal if topcoat coverage is poor anywhere.

Please tell us the full situation please because answers to abstract questions will often mislead.
Luck & Regards,

A. Conducted tests: The coating with pore-free chrome withstands 1000 hours SST (5% NACL). This was the requirement of the customer for the chrome coating of the gate valves of the main gas pipelines.

A. If you mean the salt spray numbers, then perhaps a high-performance coating can be used. For example, epoxy powder coating or polyester powder coating. These powder coatings can provide excellent corrosion resistance after proper pretreatment and curing.

Nickel-plated stainless steel coating or titanium alloy coating may also work. These are commonly used in marine and industrial environments. The corrosion resistance is relatively strong.
