Need chrome or nickel plating over anodized aluminum fixtures

These anodized aluminum fixtures are for jewelry display and they are collapsible.

Would like to plate over the existing black anodized aluminum to either chrome or nickel. But concerned that it would make them "thicker" so the precut lucite won't fit in anymore, or the collapsible pedestals won't function anymore. If you can guarantee that the chrome plating won't affect the functionality of these pieces please contact me. Thanks.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
