What's the best way to strip chrome?

I'm looking to strip chrome and wanted to know what I can use or buy around the area to do the job? Any help would be grateful. Thank you

Hi Peter,

Wow, someone who said they'd be grateful! Most unusual !

Have a look-see in the archives at 12044 ... this might be of some help.... and I hope that it will be of some assistance to you.

Possibility no.1 is muriatic acid on eBay or Amazon [affil link] . Second possibility is 170 gm sodium hydroxide/1 lit water/80 °C temp. solution.

Good luck!

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
