-----Nickel strike, Sulfamate and Protocol
I want to know if there is someone that can help me with a recommendation of the concentration and composition for the Nickel Strike and Nickel Sulfamate for steel alloys. And I would like to now also if there is a protocol for the start up or validation of plating lines.
Thank you very much in advance for your attention to this message.

Strikes for alloy steels are either the sulfamate or the Wood's all chloride. The later is more popular, dependable and easier to make up and control. It consists of 250g/L nickel chloride, 250 g/L hydrochloric acid, room temp, pure nickel or sulfur depolarized anodes, current from 20-100 A/sq-ft. Sulfamate plating bath has 250-450 g/L Ni sulfamate, 0-30 g/L Ni chloride, 30-45 g/L boric acid, pH 3-5, temp 100-140 °F, 25-250 a/sq-ft (anti-pit is optional). Protocols very much depend on the spec you are to follow. May I suggest you get a good plating book instead of relying on an internet search.
