Plating codes

Q. Dear Sir, Where can I find a quick reference to look up different plating codes. thank you, Adel Taghdi

A. Some suppliers and plating jobshops offer pocket guides to plating specs, others offer wall charts. The Metal Finishing Guidebook and other texts have lists of applicable standards.

MIL specs can be looked up on line at; the US government taxes American businesses to give their off-shore competition a free leg up on them :-(

ASTM, ISO, ASM, and other industry standard specs must be purchased; although volunteers offer their time to write these specs and make them workable, it still costs money to maintain them.
