How to anodize aluminum

Gentlemen,

I am a mechanical engineer, but just an amateur who is interesting in Metal Finishing. I would like to know about aluminum anodize finishing (black, blue, ...), and what is it effect. Could you please show me or introduce me info related to this subject, thanks.

Hi Tho. For a quick intro, please see our "Introduction to Anodizing". But this is a subject that fills whole shelves in specialty libraries, and we just can't completely cover it in a response of reasonable length. I just paid nearly $500 for one two-volume text on the subject. But your library will hopefully have some of the books on our "must-have booklist" or the journals listed on our recommended magazines page if the intro doesn't have enough detail for you.
