How to Remove Monogram on my Dirilyte

Q. I bought a set of Dirilyte flatware at an estate sale, and it has a monogram which I would like to have removed (polished out) or I would like to have an "R" made into an "H", which I think could be done with the addition of one vertical line. I understand that Dirilyte is very hard. Would a jeweler be able to do this successfully, or would I have to go to the manufacturer, or someplace else?
