-----Plastic part for consumer electronics needs selective chrome plating
2003
We have a small ABS plastic part about 1"x1.5"x.2" that we would like to Chrome plate (must be conductive, real metal) for RF reasons. However, certain areas must not be plated due to electrical and mechanical reasons.

Liquid masking is too difficult to control, and part is too small to be double injected. Are there any processes that can give us this decorative and functional chrome plating?

There are all kinds of potential masking solutions, Nai. Not only liquids, but waxes, tape, and caps. A number of plating shops specialize in precision masking.
