Help with Clorox-spotted silverware

This winter the son of a dear friend came to our home for dinner. His dad called us to say his son had gotten home feeling quite ill and was diagnosed with a fever. In my over the top usual reaction I washed all the dishes plus flatware with a bit of Clorox (to kill any germs) my flatware that I believe to be silver or silver plated became spotted. How can I clean them up?
