Recovery of silver from fixer

I am looking for info on how to extract the silver from used fixer from a photographic process. Just something simple I play with at home. What type of electrodes should I use? What voltage and current should I apply? I have found a lot of information on this site but could not find what I need. Thank you in advance

Hi, Masoud. letter 15559 has a number of responses which you might find helpful. Kodak has a 29-page booklet "Recovering Silver from Photographic Materials" which may be what you are looking for. Good luck.

I WOULD LIKE TO RECOVER SILVER FROM THE WASTE FIXER SOLUTION REMOVED FROM X RAY MACHINE. I THEN INTEND TO REACT THE SILVER WITH AMMONIUM & NITRIC TO GET SILVER NITRATE. WHAT MACHINE CAN I USE OR HOW CAN I IMPROVISE TO GET THE SILVER OUT OF THE WASTE FIXER SOLUTION?
