These questions do not seem to be generic, but to revolve around the specific details of one particular proprietary system. That's probably why no one has responded, not wanting to presume to speak for the manufacturer. Please contact the manufacturer about this -- although I would suggest giving them the details of your own situation, rather than pasting somebody else's problems into your inquiry as you did here. Good luck.

Sirs,

From the letters appearing above, they seem to be a prank of one single person (although queries are appearing in the names of different persons), who may be having a personal grudge against the organization in question. In my humble opinion, it is unethical to bring out the name of any particular organization in order to tarnish its reputation. Such frivolous queries should not find a place on the reputable forum as this one, and should be removed.

We agree, Sanjeev, that it is inappropriate to slam a person or a company in a forum like this, and we don't print such slams. It had seemed to me that the fixer from a photo lab would be very different than the fixer from an X-Ray clinic, and that the inquiry was a legitimate technical question about what settings or parameters to change. I am still hoping that someone will answer the question.

However, we've removed the company name at your suggestion though.

The entries are from different people, as proved by different IP addresses from different geographical locations. They were not a prank. But cutting-&-pasting a previous question exhibits a degree of laziness that has the downside of the writer not being taken seriously as your comment has proven.

I would like to know how to extract silver from used x-ray fixers solutions from clinic/x-ray laboratories (film processor machines) by manual procedure or by small machine operation just for experiment. Some say there is a yellow & a white chemical added to the fixer then sludge will form at the bottom of the container that's all I know. Can you educate me more about my inquiries.Thank you very much.

Hi, Nepomuceno. Similar questions have been asked over a hundred times on letter 15559, and on a number of other letters too. Some answers are contained there although there are twenty times as many questions as answers :-)

Good luck and Regards,
