How to remove paint from silicone masking plugs?

I'm trying to find out a way to remove a powder paint coating from a silicon paint plug. Is there a chemical way and also a mechanical way of doing this or would it be easier to send out the plugs and have someone else clean them.

If you have anything that might help, please let me know.
