Waste Treating nitric that was used for stripping and etching Aluminum Zincate

Need some advise on treating nitric acid from our aluminum plating. We need to take the zinc out before we neutralize it, or if there is any way to batch treat the zincate with the nitric acid to precipitate out the heavy metals.

Thanks,

You can complex the zinc by inorganic agents and then remove the complex with ion exchange resins.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
