(2001)

WE WANTED ASSISTANCE IN TWO MATTERS.

1. WE DYEING MACHINE MANUFACTURER USING STAINLESS STEEL. WE WANTED TO IMPROVE COSMETIC LOOK,AS YOU AWARE THAT MACHINE M MANUFACTURING PROCESS REQUIRES LOT OF WELDING, GRINDING WORK

2.WE WANTED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HEAT RESISTANT COATING FOR STAINLESS STEEL

M.MARIMUTHU
PENINSULA ENGINEERS - Coimbatore, India

(2001)

Dear Mr. Marimuthu:

For cosmetic appearance I understand to eliminate stains, welding scale, etc. For that, you should pickle stainless after all process with a mixture of 30% nitric + 5% hydrofluoric. For heat resistant coating there will only be very expensive solutions because stainless is already very heat resistant, so anything that will surpass it is going to be sophisticated like say vapor deposited Titanium Nitride or sprayed ceramics.
