A. Hi Penni. I can't think of any books that cover that topic, but probably the most important single document is AMS 2488, "Anodic Treatment - Titanium and Titanium Alloys Solution pH 13 or Higher". The Metal Finishing Information Service database lists a good number of journal articles, patents, and conference proceedings on the subject -- please see surfacequery.com. Good luck.

You can contact me for full package of titanium anodizing: color anodizing, hard anodizing, acidic anodizing, AMS 2488D anodizing, volcano anodizing (or porous anodizing) for dental implants, black anodizing for aerospace and jewelry. We are also in PA, and can come and set up all those processes.
