-----Containers broke: Chlorine mixed with muriatic acid
I am a local Insurance adjuster and have received a claim regarding the unfortunate mixing of the two chemical in a shop when their containers broke down. The shop filled with raw & finished metal materials as well as tools. The shop was closed with minor ventilation. What are the damages gas could cause. I understand the harmful gas issues of the mixed chemicals, but what about to metals ?

Are you certain one of the chemicals was chlorine, a gas which is stored under pressure? Maybe you're calling calcium hypochlorite "chlorine".
Calcium hypochlorite mixed with muriatic acid could release chlorine gas.
Chlorine gas in the presence of moisture will corrode most metals.
