JIS Plating Spec."M-NI"

Hello, I am having a difficult time determining what exactly this finish callout is on the drawing:

FINISH:
M-NI (3 TO 5 MICROMETER) PER JIS

I have had no success on determining this callout. If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it as I have spent hours on the net looking for some help. Thanks in advance!

It is likely specifying some type of nickel plating, either by an electroplating process (JIS H8617) or an autocatalytic/electroless process (JIS H8645). The designation is not entirely correct-- it should be MFNi is the basis metal is iron, or MZNi if it is zinc or zinc alloy, or MBNi if it is copper or copper alloy.
