-----What is C CURT Coating
Panasonic has specified C CURT coating on aluminium casings used for washing machines.
Can you tell me what it is, how it is applied and what is the testing
required?

Hi, Supreet.
C CURT is a magical coating that renders aluminum castings (which
would otherwise be a ludicrous material of construction for the highly
alkaline environment of a washing machine) into an acceptable design.
Sorry, just being satirical and remembering the video on thread/topic 53569
wherein a washing machine had to be scrapped because it's aluminum
castings completely corroded away and failed in 6 years (I wouldn't
trade my 28 year old all-steel never-serviced-once Maytag for any 2 of today's
most expensive machines).
On a more serious note, sorry, that coating identification means
nothing to me. Maybe another reader has heard of it or will recognize
a typo or something. Good luck.
