Anodized pool cage is peeling

My wife and I anodized our pool cage approximatley 3 years ago and now it's all peeling back off again , I keep finding large pieces of the paint in the pool everyday; I would rather bring someone in to redo it , but she wants to do her self again.
Is there something better than anodizing? (it is also messy and hard to work with)

Thanks, Dave

Hi, Dave.

Anodizing is not paint or anything like paint. I think we're on different wavelengths here. Anodizing is an electrochemical process that you do on aluminum. Is this "pool cage" made of aluminum? Did you have batteries connected and the aluminum immersed in sulfuric acid?

Could you be thinking of "cold galvanizing" (spraying or brushing with a zinc-rich silver colored paint)?
