Impact of ferritic nitrocarburizing on galvanic corrosion

Hello,

I am hunting around for information on the impact of ferritic nitrocarburizing on galvanic corrosion either positively or negatively. Specifically, I am trying to suss out if nitrocarburizing a spring guide will adversely affect the music wire spring that it is supporting. In my case the spring support is of much greater mass than the spring itself which is fairly fine wire, but it occurs to me this must be a general concern for anyone dealing with ferritic nitrocarburizing. Does anyone have an insight?

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
