Measurement of Zinc Coating Thickness on Wire Type Item

Dear Sir / Mdm,

Good day. I am from a galvanizing factory. I would like to ask what is the proper method to measure zinc coating thickness on wire / mesh (typically 2 mm diameter). I'm considering the use of caliper to measure thickness before and after, but it will not take into account the iron loss in pickling. The use of coating thickness gauge give me outrageous readings.
