Plating on plastics - small lots, R&D efforts

January 26, 2011

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a decent shop - preferably but not required to be in the Southern California area - that can do small lots (1 to 15 pieces) of gold and/or nickel and/or chrome on various plastics. I'm with an R&D shop that has to try out a lot of prototypes and the current supplier we use is less than stellar.

If you can offer services, please feel free to contact me - some kind of a guess at typical prices for that lot size (small parts all - handheld thermometer type R&D) and typical turnaround would be much appreciated.

Lots wouldn't come frequently - and they would always be small - but a good vendor I can rely on would really help!

Thank you,
