Dear Friend,

First what type of job you are plating the step test standard depend upon the part, because of if your plated part are plastic or metal plating in stain that time the std. of step test as per your customers req. so you got this std. from suppliers. and see.
In Satin nickel Plating - Two wheeler part step std. is 80 to 120 mv. step.
