Bronze finishing liquid for galvanized access flooring

I recently saw in London ( I think at Harrods but can't remember exactly ) an antique bronze finishing liquid being applied to what I assumed was aluminum window sections . I am wanting to antique bronze coat access flooring which is galvanised mild steel . Any ideas about what could be used and would be suitable for foot traffic in an ad agency type environment?
