Post-Plating Treatments for Inconel and Udimet?

I work for an aerospace company. We need to nickel-plate Inconel 718 and Udimet 720 LI per SAE AMS2403. In searching through the literature, we have found numerous references to hydrogen embrittlement in Inconel 718. However, these studies seem to use high-pressure hydrogen for the testing. We have not been able to find any indication of hydrogen embrittlement due to plating of nickel-based alloys.

Can someone please tell me if this is a problem for these alloys. If so, what type of post-plating treatment should we use to mitigate embrittlement concerns?
