Recovered powdercoating powder lacks gloss

Can you one tell me the root cause of gloss reduction while we using the recovery powder with vergin powder in powder coating. And also suggest me the qualities of recovery powder to reuse.

If it's 1st pass reclaim then it is possible to mix 50/50 depending upon the quality of the virgin powder. Using reclaim from a continuous reclaim process... then the mixing ratio should be no more than 10% reclaim to virgin.

You lose gloss because every time you reclaim and respray the powder it breaks down the particle size of the powder. I would try to dial in the powder output of the guns so that you don't have as much overspray. How many times powder can be reclaimed and resprayed all depends on the kind of powder.
