Black spots in nickel in plating


We do without cyanide nickel plating. In running process there is less brightness and black spots appear. Please help for remove black spots?

Hi, Mitra.

You need to do at least a hundred things right for successful nickel plating, and we have no idea what you are doing, so it is hard to help you. Do you get these black spots on your Hull Cell panels, and if so, at what current density? Thanks. I would suggest that you try to find a copy of The Canning Handbook [on eBay, Amazon, AbeBooks]. Although it refers to proprietary chemicals that you are not using, it offers a methodical approach to understanding and troubleshooting nickel plating baths. Good luck.
