How to treat chloride waters




Hello to all, I have a question if you can help me:
we treat chloride waters with Argentum nitrato but I can not reduce its levels of chlorine ions.
anyone can help me in terms of previous?

Carbon treatment will remove most of the chlorine, but will not touch the chlorides.

The AgNO3 will do a good job precipitating free chloride ions (Cl-) as AgCl. My guess is that you have chlorine in some form other than chloride.
