-----Coating to stop condensation on under stainless steel sinks
I'm a manufacturer of stainless steel kitchen sinks. I have a problem to solve, my kitchen sinks often has water condensation under the sink surface after use. I'm looking for a type of coating that can solve the condensation problem. it has to be toxic free and corrosion free. Preferably a spray-on for better efficiency during production. Please help! Thanks in advance!

A. Hi, Paul. I don't believe that stainless steel is hygroscopic, so I don't think changing the nature of the surface will help. I think the problem is condensation caused by the sink being cooler than the surrounding air, especially if cold water has been running through it. In that case, I would suspect that a coating that entraps air for insulation, along the lines of styrofoam, is required.
