A well known Nylon (PA6) coating is the Rilsan (PA11) there are two methods to make the coating:

1.- By powder gun : (degrease + gritblast + Rilprim primer + air dry + powdercoat + cure in oven at 220ÊC)

2.- By hot dipping: (degrease + gritblast + warm up the piece + dip into the powder + leave it cool down)

With the first one you will have from 100 to 150 microns coating. With the second the thickness depend on different parameters, thickness of the pieces, temperature of the piece at the moment of dipping, etc but it goes from 150 to 400 microns. I suggest you to get in contact with ATO Chem (the manufacturer of Rilsan) they will teach you.
