-----Refrigerator side panels undulation/waviness : how to avoid & how to measure?
September 13, 2010
Hi
I am Ganesh Giri working with a domestic refrigerator manufacturer.
the outer wrapper of a refrigerator is made of sheet metal with inner ABS/HIPS liner.
In-between the two a foam is filled for insulation.
The external surface of refrigerator requires excellent visual characteristics.
Any surface variation that becomes visible to customer when the surface waves are sufficient to cause discontinuities in the reflection of light is an unacceptable level of waviness.
My question is on how to avoid this waviness, & also how to measure this?

You must either purchase prefinished material or a straight line polishing machine to achieve the desired effect.
