-----Paint peels off cadmium plated surface
I face a problem: a steel part (CREs) cadmium plated and chromate treated, and painted with a primer. when do the adhesion test, some painting peels off even the plating layer.

Hi, Kelvin. Although it's possible that a different primer would adhere better, the problem is probably in the chromate layer. If this is an old-style hexavalent chromate, it is probably too thick or was dried out by overheating before it cured. If it is a trivalent chromate, it is probably one that is not compatible with painting. Good luck.
