Acid or Solvent that etches copper but not gallium arsenide

December 15, 2009

Greetings,

We are trying to find an acid or solvent that will remove copper, but will leave gallium arsenide intact.

Does anyone know of a substance that will do this?

Thanks in advance.

I have no experience with gallium arsenide, but I know that persulphate is a decent copper remover. citric acid will too, but very slowly only.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
