Is DIY cast iron electropolishing feasible?

I am rebuilding an older car and would like to electropolish the exhaust manifold for improved performance. Is this something I can do at home or is it too hazardous for my backyard shop? What are the components for this process?

Thank you

Hi, Mark. I am not sure that electropolishing of cast iron is possible at all, let alone under backyard conditions.

Hi, Ketan.

As I mentioned, I am not aware that electropolishing of these materials is possible. Did your lit search reveal that I am in error? If so, please advise me of some references so I can learn. Thanks.

Hi Ted,
Thanks for replying. I am not sure whether electropolishing of cast iron is possible. But if possible kindly refer "metallography, principles, And practices" by GEORGE F VANDER VOORT. This book is available on internet but need to buy.
