Burn / Black appearance on M2.6 Blind thread hole after electroless plating

We are encountering burn or black appearance reject on M2.6 blind thread hole in one of our product after electroless nickel plating. We already implemented manual spraying on the thread hole during pre-treatment to ensure that the thread hole will be cleaned. Can you please help us on how we can eliminate this burn or black appearance on blind thread hole? is zincate contributes to this black appearance or is it the chemicals that we use? can ultrasonic degreasing help? Thanks.
