Plating Barrel design

November 26, 2009

We are doing nickel plating on automobile components.
We have slit & hole barrels for the same.
I would like to know what would be the best design of barrel.
Please also tell me if there are any grades in PP & which one is the best.

Get as much information as you can from good barrel MFG's. Most have some tweaks that they think will work better. Then buy the one that you like. It takes a lot of specialized equipment to make a good durable barrel.
If you can not afford a new one, buy a used one.
In short, if you have to ask the question, you have a very low probability of designing and making a durable, excellent barrel.
