Electroless nickel plating of carbon/epoxy composites

I am considering the plating a hardsurface (nickel) on a compression molded carbon/epoxy prepreg surface. This would be to achieve a wear resistant surface without having to attach a multislide type "clip". Can this be done using electroless nickel or a similar electrodeposition process?
