Brush plating Nickel Onto Steel Revolvers

October 31, 2009

Hello to all I am a Ham Radio operator and I also am interested in electroplating as another hobby as I'm retired now and have lots of time to do things I always had interests in but no time for.
I have a small collection of firearms, some relics and some that work and I am looking for some not so complicated information about how to get started in a small home operation not involving the cyanide methods.

All nickel plating formulas are cyanide free, you can start with Watts nickel plating bath. There are many very good download free old (19th century) plating handbooks (Watts, Gores, Langbeins) on internet archive website (www.archive.org). Hope it helps and good luck!
