Use black Jax on rhodium plate etched pattern

I have a silver etched flat pattern pendent that is plated with rhodium. I would like to know if I can use black Jax on it to make the cracks black like I use on silver or copper. will it work and make the plating pendent black too?

Rhodium is VERY resistant to any chemical and is unlikely to turn black with the solution you are using for silver. You may have to just use black paint.

Try black enamel or niello.Hope it helps and good luck!

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
