Chromium plating over Albaloy or Miralloy

Has anyone had experience plating bright chromium over Albaloy or white brass? I see multiple problems with this procedure mainly the dezincification of the substrate in the LCD areas and contamination of the chromium bath with tramp metals. My client is looking for a replacement for bright nickel plating under the chromium. They would accept tri chrome or hex chrome as the top and final layer.
