-----Palladium activation in electroless nickel
I am a university student wanting to coat mild steel with electroless nickel. Prior to coating, activation of the mild steel substrate is required. For that I need to prepare a palladium chloride solution. So any information regarding the preparation of the activator solution, like the concentration of palladium chloride, HCl, etc. would be helpful. Also any suggestion regarding any books, study material in this regard would be of much help.
Thank you.

Hi, Suman. No, you don't need to activate in palladium chloride. That approach is for non-conductive material like plastic. You can directly plate the electroless nickel on the mild steel.
