Painting on copper plated ABS

I have bought copper-plated ABS costume jewelry components. I have already found companies that will do the gold-plating over the copper. I would also like to finish some of these components in non-metallic colors, to have a variety of options for the final jewelry pieces. Is there any process that can give a copper-plated ABS part a glossy white finish (ideally it would look like a white resin)? Can I apply paint directly?
