How to overcome "Star Dust " issue in decorative chrome plated aluminium (LM24) parts>

Dear Experts

Please provide possible root causes which can be attributed for the star dust issues in decorative chrome plating (tri nickel followed by flash chrome process). The material is LM 24. When parts are examined in light booth it is evident that all parts have star dust issues after plating process.

Thanks

Given no more information, I will guess that you have suspended trash in one or both of your plating tanks.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
