-----Electroplating with benzylidene acetone
I am working on metal electroplating in very acidic media. The plating bath contains metal salts, surfactants, benzylidene acetone and some carboxylic acid type of grain refiners. The bath is stable by itself. However, it slowly turned cloudy after electrolyzing. The cloudiness could not be reversed even after adding quite a lot of organic solvents into the bath.
Deeply appreciate if anyone could suggest what type of reaction was happened and how to prevent it.
